Here is a well-known teaser in Lenz law. Find the direction of the induced current in both the cases.
Situation: A coil is in the horizontal plane. A bar magnet is falling down through it. (1) What is the direction of induced current as the magnet passes with N pole facing down? (2) What is the direction of induced current as the magnet passes with S pole facing up?
